Board Directors

The Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Idea Saving and Credit Cooperative Ltd., established in 2068 B.S. under the Cooperative Act 2048 of Nepal and based at Chabahil Chowk, Kathmandu, are instrumental in driving our mission of financial empowerment and community prosperity. Comprising professionals with expertise in banking, insurance, IT, and entrepreneurship, each member of the Executive Committee brings a unique role and perspective, ensuring strategic leadership, transparency, and member-centric services. Together, they oversee the cooperative’s operations, including savings schemes (6% to 9% interest), credit facilities (13% to 16% interest), fixed deposits (7% to 9% returns), advisory support, and optional digital services, fostering trust and sustainable growth for our urban community.

  • Chairperson: Nilesh Manandhar
    As the visionary leader, Nilesh Manandhar sets the strategic direction of the cooperative, ensuring alignment with our mission of financial inclusion and member empowerment. He drives innovation, such as digital service integration, and fosters ethical governance, representing the cooperative in external engagements and building member trust through transparent leadership.

  • Vice-Chairperson: Nabin Joshi
    Navin Joshi supports the Chairperson in strategic oversight, stepping in to lead when needed to ensure continuity. He focuses on enhancing community engagement through financial literacy programs and events, advocating for member-focused policies and improving operational efficiency to deliver seamless services at our Chabahil Chowk office.

  • Secretary: Kalpana Shrestha
    Kalpana Shrestha manages the cooperative’s administrative functions, maintaining accurate records, coordinating board activities, and ensuring compliance with the Cooperative Act 2048. She facilitates clear communication between members, management, and the board, ensuring transparency in all cooperative operations and member interactions.

  • Treasurer: Amit Bhatt
    Amit Bhatt oversees the cooperative’s financial health, managing funds for savings, loans, and fixed deposits with precision and transparency. He ensures secure handling of member investments, conducts financial oversight, and prepares reports to maintain accountability, safeguarding the cooperative’s stability and member trust.

  • Member: Sangita Udas
    Sangita Udas contributes to policy development, focusing on creating inclusive financial products tailored to diverse member needs. She champions initiatives that enhance service accessibility, such as low-minimum savings schemes, and supports member-centric programs to promote financial discipline and empowerment.

  • Member: Chandeshwori Gurung
    Chandeshwori Gurung drives community-focused initiatives, organizing events like financial literacy workshops and outreach programs to strengthen member engagement. She advocates for services that cater to families and retirees, ensuring the cooperative remains a supportive community hub for all.

  • Member: Usha Lama
    Usha Lama plays a key role in shaping cooperative growth strategies, emphasizing innovation and member involvement. She supports the development of digital services (where applicable) and promotes cooperative principles, ensuring members have a voice in governance and access to modern financial solutions.
